Dunbeath & District Centre is fortunate to have many talented gardeners among our users, but few can rival the beauty, dedication and passion that have gone into Margaret Grant’s remarkable garden.

On Thursday 6th August, our Strollers Group had the pleasure of visiting Margaret’s garden – and what a truly wonderful afternoon it was! Every corner was a feast for the eyes, with something beautiful to discover at every turn.

For more than 40 years, Margaret has lovingly transformed her garden into a spectacular display of colour, texture and fragrance. Her hard work and passion have earned her numerous awards over the years, with her stunning fuchsias among her latest prize-winning achievements.

The garden also boasts an impressive rose bed featuring at least 25 different varieties , alongside an abundance of shrubs and flowering plants that provide colour and interest throughout the seasons.

A huge THANK YOU to Margaret for so warmly welcoming our Strollers Group into her beautiful garden and allowing us to enjoy the results of so many years of hard work.

And perhaps Margaret’s garden is also a lovely reminder that the very best gardens don’t grow overnight – they grow through patience, passion and love.
