Merry Christmas Thanks 2024 Published on 18th January 2025

As the holiday season is upon us, we at the Dunbeath & District Centre would like to take a moment to extend our warmest Christmas wishes to everyone in our community. May your days be filled with joy, love, and festive cheer! ☃✨

Reflecting on this past year, it’s clear that 2024 has been an exciting and eventful time for us all. From afternoon talks that sparked engaging discussions, to musical afternoons that lifted our spirits, to tech classes that helped us embrace the digital world, we’ve been keeping busy while making wonderful memories. Of course, no year would be complete without the hearty meals and delicious treats that kept us full all year round! 🍽❤️

We are deeply grateful to everyone who has supported the Dunbeath & District Centre throughout the year. Your kindness, generosity, and time make everything we do possible, and it’s wonderful to see the community come together. This festive season has been especially magical thanks to the incredible donations from various individuals and businesses.

A special shoutout goes to our fabulous Christmas week musical entertainers:

  • Ady Harper for an unforgettable Wednesday performance,
  • Robin Young for a cheerful Thursday, and
  • Steven Sinclair for ending the week with a fantastic Friday performance.

Thank you for sharing your time and talent with us, filling the Centre with holiday spirit and joy over three wonderful afternoons. 🎉🎁

We’d also like to express our gratitude to the businesses and individuals who contributed to our Christmas raffle. Your generosity makes such a difference, and your support adds an extra sparkle to our celebrations. Huge thanks to:

  • Wick Tesco
  • Elizabeth’s Fabrics in Thurso
  • Spellbound Caithness
  • The Norseman Hotel
  • Katrina Sutherland’s Country Spa
    • And to everyone who brought along donations — we truly appreciate you! 🎁✨

These gifts and gestures remind us of the kindness throughout our community. Whether it’s through a raffle prize, a kind word, or volunteering time, every act helps us create a welcoming atmosphere that makes the Dunbeath & District Centre what it is.

As we bid farewell to 2024, we look forward to another fantastic year ahead. The Centre will reopen on Monday, January 6th, 2025, and we can’t wait to see all your friendly faces again. Until then, from all of us at the Dunbeath & District Centre, have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
