Despite the forecast predicting rain , the sun came out just in time for our ‘Strollers Group’ to enjoy a wonderful visit to Langwell Gardens on Thursday, 30th July.

The group spent a relaxing hour exploring the beautiful gardens, which were bursting with vibrant flowers , colourful shrubs , immaculate lawns, a formal pond with lily pads , and an abundance of wildlife . We even discovered the hidden pond and had the pleasure of chatting with the head gardener, who shared some fascinating insights into the gardens.

As this outing came together at very short notice, we would also like to say a huge thank you to Dottie and her team for preparing such a delicious picnic lunch for everyone.

A special thank you also goes to the Berriedale Portland Hall Committee for their kindness and hospitality. They generously opened the hall at the last minute so we could enjoy our picnic lunch indoors. Your thoughtfulness was very much appreciated and helped make the day even more special.

This outing was a great example of what can be achieved when a community works together.
