The community turned out in force to support the Berriedale and Dunbeath Platinum Jubilee event hosted by Dunbeath and District Centre (DDC) on Saturday.
There were a number of events taking place at the John Currie Playing Fields in Dunbeath to mark the Queen’s 70 years on the throne, including the village’s old Highland Games tradition, Tilt E’ Bucket, Toss-The-Wellie-Boot and a series of children’s races.
Information about the vision for the proposed new Health and Wellbeing Hub in south-east Caithness was made available to those who came along, while tea and cake was served in fine china by the centre’s staff and volunteers.
Daniel Macleod, operational growth manager at DDC, thanks the volunteers and the community who made the event a success.
The planned new hub is set to increase the centre three-fold and allow it to expand its services over a wider area.
