Rock of Support – Art Exhibition Published on 19^th August 2025

We were lucky enough to be nominated as a ‘Rock of Support’ in the community for a local art exhibition held in the Ross Institute in Halkirk the ‘Caithness Art and Stone Festival’.

This opportunity had Cally Maxwell from the Sìdh Chailleann Art team, come along to visit us here at the Dunbeath & District Centre & take some photographs of some of our staff and users on a Thursday afternoon, capturing both our Strollers group and our Singing for Fun group.

Sìdh C Art are a charity with a mission to make music and art accessible and inclusive as well as focusing on sustainability. We really felt honoured to be nominated to be one of their ‘Rock of Supports’ and be featured in the exhibition alongside a multitude of wonderful artists and other support portraits.

While only one of the photographs could be chosen, we asked Cally for the photos they took and here are the wonderful pictures of our users going about their day, enjoying each others company.

This was such a lovely afternoon, and the exhibition drew to a close this past Saturday with an evening of storytelling!
